Description

Inspired by the engineering of suspension bridges, the Sisters Bra is designed for maximum security, support, and coverage at all points. The name alludes to the sisterhood in its design: two layers of construction working in harmony. An inner layer, which includes unique meshes and molded cups, while attaching those elements to an inner set of straps. This inner layer = encapsulation, supporting each breast. The outer layer and outer straps represent the compression, holding everything in place. The four-strap system more evenly distributes the weight, relieving strap pressure which can often cause pain or welting in the skin. The Sisters Bra is also higher on the neck, to minimize top bounce, with the two layers of mesh at the neck serving both form and function. Learn more about the Sisters Bra on the blog.

Good, with caveats

I bought this bra on a hope and a prayer because there weren't any reviews at that time from anybody sized like me. I finally just did my first long run in it and I had to provide my feedback for other shoppers in the future.

About Me: I wear a 40 C and truly have a wide ribcage. I wear a 14 in other oiselle items.

Pros: If you care a lot about minimal bounce when you run you will LOVE this bra. It's truly high impact and it's also pretty cute. Once I actually got into it, it was extremely comfortable to run with one exception (more on that below).

Cons: There are definitely some cons. Getting into this thing is weirdly complicated. It's even more difficult than most high impact bras because of the multiple straps and layers and then the very tiny hook. Also, the under layer has two very poorly placed seams at the top that hit me right where my armpit starts and they have serious chafe potential. Thankfully, I clocked this before heading out and added liberal amounts of chafe cream which solved the problem, but I did notice it still.

All in all, this is likely a great option for smaller folks. For bigger chested women, it's pretty a solid option. Better than a lot of other "high impact" bras on the market. Just be sure you have a buddy if you get stuck and chafe cream handy.

Too compressive for running

I bought this bra and a few others on the annual sale. Immediately was a struggle to get on but I tried a run with it anyway. I had to unclasp the back because I couldn’t breathe on the hills! Disappointed since I bought my normal cup and band size. No returns available either :( Maybe I’ll try buying a band extender.

Holy grail sports bra for busty folk

I used to be a Juno girly and am now a Sisters devotee. If this bra gets discontinued I will do crimes (joking, for legal reasons). Great support for running, horseback riding and HIIT without feeling constrictive.
