Durability is awful

I've worn this shirt probably 4 times now. This is a thin winter top, so it's expected that layers would be worn over it, right? Just from wearing a jacket over this once, I noticed the middle part of this shirt where the zipper of the jacket sits is starting to come apart. Then, I made the mistake of wearing a jacket over this shirt and a hydration vest on top of the jacket. This shirt is pulling apart in the areas where the hydration vest might have rubbed it, despite there being a jacket between the vest and the shirt! After ONE run with a hydration pack! I expect better quality given the price point.

Didn't meet expectations

I had high hopes for this one given the price, and having wool, but it didn't quite satisfy.

Positives:

- The carmine colour is really pretty, higher neck is a nice touch against wind, and the watch hole is good.

Negatives:

- The material is thin. I really expected this to be thicker like other running brands' versions of wool blends. I wouldn't be surprised if I could wear this in the summer. If you want thickness/warmth, try Lux long sleeve.
- I think the sizing is off. I bought a size 10 Lux and Flyout, but the sleeves are shorter on this one, which means the hole placement is also off. It tugs on my arm slightly if I have my watch and thumbs in place. I laid the 2 shirts out together lined up and you can see the different placement. I always wash on cold/delicate and hang dry.

3* because the quality is not worth the $98 Canadian on sale. Pretty isn't good enough when I wanted function: warm wool-ish layer, and sleeves that fit. I would not recommend this for a winter/rainy weather runner.

Best thing I've ever put on my body

This fabric is somehow so soft and so warm but also still wicks away moisture and performs great in Truckee winters or San Francisco foggy to sunny neighborhoods. I wear it around the house, running, climbing, to the dog park; everywhere. It's the first thing into my laundry basket and the first thing out of my drawer. I can't have enough of these, and the collar on the back is great for keeping the wind off my neck. I've never met a wool with zero itch, but Oiselle, you've done it. This is the perfect layer.

I don’t normally write reviews but I don’t want Oiselle to redesign the short because it’s perfect. Lightweight but warm, super soft and perfect fit. Haven’t washed it yet, so maybe it will snag but it’s a running shirt. It will still be perfect. I’m 5’6 and 120 lbs and got a Small.
