Galen Rupp set the American indoor record in the 3k. 7:30.16. Not too shabby, sir.

Shalane and Kara busted out their flats and raced the NOLA RnR 13.1 (aka the New Orleans Rock n’ Roll Half Marathon). Shalane came in second, laying down a 5:14/mile pace. Which is the pace I can run for … one minute. Tops. Meseret Defar (Ethiopian Olympic gold medalist) won in 1:07:25, a :20 PR. And Kara snuck in under 1:12 for a great rust buster after a winter injury.

London Fashion Week wrapped and Milan Fashion Week began, and of course much of the life is off the runway and on the street. And while NYC wasn’t week before we have to give a nod to Betsey Johnson who brought core work to the runway in a big way. Rehydrating with bubs, obviously.

And finally Oiselle joined in on the Harlem Shake at this weekend’s sample sale.

I love this set of core exercises for its efficient targeting of core muscle groups, and because no gym equipment is required!
