As we approach the end of May, the track and field community is getting rolling with some of the greatest meets in the country. Elite athletes are fine tuning their racing tactics and finding meets where the fields are stacked in hopes of hitting the US "A" Standards in their events. For us at Oiselle HQ, we are getting pumped to watch all the hard work that these women have put in this year pay off on race day.
Wednesday night, a large group of track fans gathered at Shoreline Stadium in North Seattle at one of our local All Comers meets to cheer on Christine Babcock in the 5k. Pacing her and the rest of the field, Heather Stephens and Lauren Fleshman clipped along at 75’s for the first two miles. Other fasties that joined them: NAZ Elite Hoka Athlete, Kellyn Taylor, Sketchers Katja Goldring, Brooks Allison Morgan, and CNW’s Jane Ricardi and Lana Lacey.
In the next month our Haute Volée women will be at a handful of great meets with the hopes of racing fast and getting ready for the US Outdoor Championship at the end of June in Eugene, Oregon. Here's what we they have planned for the next month...
