This July we did a photo shoot with three of our pro’s – Kara Goucher, Lauren Fleshman and Kate Grace. It was the middle of summer forecasted for a slight chance of showers and overcast. Of course it couldn't be a photo shoot day in Seattle without a weather scare. Kara went for a long run bright and early before the shoot and the minute she stepped out the door it started pouring rain…and it didn’t stop there. If you followed our photos on Instagram that day, you saw it. Cold, soggy and rainy!
But lucky for us, Seattle can be breathtaking in both rain or shine. We hung out under various bridges all day from Fremont, Ravenna, North Lake Union, and back to Greenlake and would pop out into parks when sun breaks happened. We may have caught the only day in the middle of July when the rain decided to finally come out, but just like any race day that doesn’t go as planned, we powered through – with many teeth chattering laughs along the way.
So here we go! An awesome short video produced by Tim at RaceVids to go behind the scenes with our latest. Sally Bergesen sums it up well, "We spend months designing these styles and looking at them in various stages of development. To have the final product come in and see them on the athletes, it really is that moment when you get super excited, a little teary and happy all at once." Each style has a story to tell – from idea, to sketch, to prototype, to various samples and final product. The photo shoot is nearly the final step, but the best part is finally being able to share it with all of you. We hope you are loving our latest of Fall 14.
